GWENDOLYN KOCHAN, LMT (LICENSE #6149)

My name is Gwendolyn Kochan. I am a wife, mother of 2, licenced massage therapist, and a college graduate.  I earned my licence the spring of 1997.  The fall of 1997 my husband and I got married.  Then the fall of 2001, I earned mi Biology degree from PSU.  I studied more about the human body and now apply that knowledge toward each treatment of massage that I give.  A few years after graduation from PSU we began our family.

I have been working in West Linn community since the fall of 1998.  The summer of 2010 I became a proud member of Summit Health Chiropractic and Massage.  I enjoy my work, which is a rhythmic type of neuromuscular, site specific massage therapy treatment.  I have worked with a variety of ages from infants to the elderly in hospice.

DEDE LAMONT, LMT

Special areas of interest and expertise are deep tissue massage, chronic pain management, injury rehabilitation, relaxation massage, strength training, flexibility training, cardiovascular exercise advice, and sport specific massage and exercise programs.  A background in fitness training has helped to mold my work as a massage therapist into a unique style.  I carefully assesses each client to determine where a muscular imbalance may exist which in turn may be causing pain. Whether it is the weakness of a particular muscle, a postural problem, or a muscle spasm,  I strive first to uncover the cause of the pain.  Then through massage, I work to normalize the soft tissue, improve flexibility, and restore proper movement patterns.  Finally as a fitness trainer, I can provide strength and conditioning exercises to help guide the person to optimal physical health.

The Doctor Asks some important questions of interest to West Linn residents - Chiropractor West Linn The Doctor Asks...

Why does chiropractic work?
Chiropractic works because your nervous system, consisting of your brain, spinal cord and all the nerves of your body, controls and regulates every cell, tissue, organ and system of your body. A chiropractor locates and reduces areas of nervous system compromise (usually along the spine) so your capacity to heal is restored. Chiropractic works by helping your body work as it was designed.
What's a side effect?
It may sound like a bonus; something extra, but chiropractors know it should more accurately called an "unintended effect," and "unwanted effect" or in some cases an "adverse effect." A pill can't come close to matching your body's ability to create and deliver the essential compounds it needs. That's when it's important to make sure your nervous system is working correctly—the purpose of chiropractic care!
